HANOVER, Germany (Sept. 16, 2013) – IntervalZero technology partner esd (electronic system design gmbh), which develops and manufactures hardware and software for the automation industry, has extended its 400 series of PC boards with the addition of the CAN-PCIe/402 family.
esd focuses on custom-specific solutions in the automotive and machine industries, medical technology and aerospace. It is one of the leading suppliers of CAN modules and has more than two decades of CAN experience.
The CAN-PCIe/402 family is available with one, two or four electrically isolated CAN High-Speed interfaces. For the first time esd also offers versions without electrical isolation, which puts the boards at the same price level as simple passive boards. Low profile versions with up to two ports are available, too.
esd offers driver support for IntervalZero RTX 2009/2011/2012 and RTX64. Notably the new board has MSI support, making it ideally suited for use of RTX in eliminating the need to search for a “free” interrupt. In addition, the data exchange with the PC is based on Bus-Master DMA which guarantees highest performance yet low CPU usage.
CANopen (Manager/Slave), SAE J1939 and ARINC 825 stacks to integrate the board into such networks are available for RTX as optional extras.
