IntervalZero Expands in EMEA; Adds Sales/Technical Resources

Real-time Software Developer IntervalZero Opens Office In Germany; Adds Sales and Technical Resources

Sees Germany OEMs embracing evolution of embedded systems to intelligent systems

WALTHAM, MA & MUNICH, GERMANY (November 1, 2011) – IntervalZero Inc., whose RTX hard real-time software extension for Microsoft Windows drives cost and performance benefits in the development of intelligent systems in industries ranging from Industrial Automation to Digital Media, has expanded its EMEA operations with an office in Munich, Germany. The company said it is adding both sales and technical resources.

“Many of our largest and most successful EMEA Customers are located in Germany and we can deliver better service to them with a local team in place. Germany is Europe’s largest economy and with 27% of its GDP coming from the industrial sector where our real-time software delivers significant value, it represents a significant growth opportunity for us,” said CEO Jeffrey D. Hibbard.

Hibbard also said that he expects Germany’s innovative Industrial Automation OEMs in particular will be among the first to embrace the evolution of embedded systems from hardware-intensive, fixed-function, disconnected systems to software-based intelligent systems utilizing high-performance microprocessors, symmetric multiprocessing and parallel processing to develop less costly systems that have increased performance and programmability.

By leveraging x86 multi-core technologies and symmetric multiprocessing (SMP) functionality, and by extending Windows with the RTX real-time extension, OEMs can replace real-time hardware such as DSPs and FPGAs with standard Windows PCs to reduce costs, and boost quality and performance.

IntervalZero said that Bernhard Hartmann, Sales Manager for Central Europe, will head the Munich group, which includes engineering support resources.

Hartmann has significant experience and expertise in sales, marketing, negotiating and management and was with Telelogic GmbH, Munich, an IBM company, before joining IntervalZero. Previously he had been with IAR Systems AG, Munich, a leading supplier of software tools for developing embedded systems applications.

IntervalZero’s customer-centered philosophy combined with more than three decades of embedded software innovation and the proven value of its RTX hard real-time software have enabled the company to build a global customer base of market-leading OEMs and end users in Industrial Automation, Medical Systems, Digital Media, Test & Measurement, Military & Aerospace, and other industries.

IntervalZero is relentlessly focused on its customers’ success and shares their pursuit of excellence. The company continuously invests in both its real-time software technology and in strengthening customer relationships.

IntervalZero is headquartered in Massachusetts and also has an office in Nice, France. The company is a Microsoft Embedded Gold Partner and gained Microsoft’s recognition recognition as a leading partner in both North America and EMEA in 2009, 2010 and 2011.
